Chukra is a medicinal herb and the plant is of a small height. It is found mostly in India where it cultivated in a good amount. It grows well in the hilly areas of the Indian subcontinent. Chukra has a good content of water, amino acids, vitamins and other nutritional constituents which makes it very useful in Ayurvedic treatment. Its Latin name is Rumex Vesicarius Linn. It tastes a little bit sour. The leaves and seeds of Chukra are of great use.
Chukra's Uses:
Chukra’s has multiple uses. Some of them can be very useful in fatal cases as well.
- If you are having gum and dental problems, Chukra’s leaves paste can be of great use. They ease the pain and the swelling.
- If you intake Chukra with the juice of pomegranate, it will help you to cure diarrhoea.
- The seeds of Chukra can be roasted and then powdered so that you can consume it if bitten by a scorpion. Scorpion bites can be deadly and very painful so immediate action should be taken.
- For further relief, make a paste of the leaves of Chukra and apply it on the area of the bite. The affected area's pain and inflammation will gradually decrease.
- It can also be used for snakebite victims.
- Old people suffering from piles can also take small doses of Chukra.
- As it acts as a laxative, it can also be used for stomach problems and constipation as well. It effectively cleans out the bowels. It also helps in detoxifying the bladders and kidneys.
- Chukra is also believed to treat problems like asthma and bronchitis.
- It is also used for relief during vomiting.
- Recent studies have proved that it can be used as an effective cure to prevent cancer as well. Chukra is also useful for liver and spleen diseases. It cures liver injury and damage, stops internal bleeding in various organs of the body.
- It also helps to deal with intoxication issues like alcoholism.
Apart from all the above uses, it also is known to help in reducing cardiac pain, rheumatoid arthritis, bad breath, stomach ailments and stomach tumours. Chukra is also known to increase the ease of food digestion in us.
Always remember that since it is a natural laxative, it should not be taken during problems like diarrhoea. For its vast spectrum of uses, it is used in many ayurvedic medicines. Chukra has no known adverse effects or side effects.
