Jamun (Latinname - Syzygium cumini), is known as Jambul in English and Jambu or Mahaphala in Sanskrit. It is an evergreen plant found both in wild and cultivated form. It is a commonly seen plant and it grows to about 100 feet tall and 12 feet wide. Jamun fruits are multi-use in nature. For some health reasons, the jamun fruit is generally advised to be consumed with salt.


Medicinal uses of Jamun:
