Soraka is a medicine constituted from mainly potassium nitrate and chloride. It is an Ayurvedic medicine used since ancient times to cure several diseases. However, it is to be used only when prescribed by the doctor under strict restrictions. It is prepared in Ayurvedic laboratories for several hours through complex processes.
Usage of Sorakaa
- It is used to treat a wide variety of diseases. Potassium chloride tablets or pills are mostly effective when used for diseases like nausea and vomiting.
- It is also used to control hypokalemia which means low levels of potassium in one’s blood.
- It is used to cure edema.
- It is often known to be used as a diuretic.
- It helps to break down mild urinary stones.
- It helps to deal with infections in the urinary tract.
- It is known to cure leucorrhoea.
Ayurvedic Properties of Sorakaa
It is advised to be taken with turmeric powder. It can be a bit pungent in odour and taste as well. It is a medicine which is made with the help of cow urine in the presence of heat. It has additional properties which help to strengthen one’s immune system as well. It is also available in powdered form. Maximum dosage for per day consumption should remain within 500 milligrams.
Precautions with Sorakaa
- Should be completely avoided by women who are pregnant.
- Can be taken in moderate dosage by lactating women.
- Should be avoided for children.
- Should be stored in a clean, dry and cool place only.
- Should be avoided by patients suffering from hyperkalemia.
