Vanga Bhasma (popularly known as Bang Bhasma) prepared from the tin metal and used for treating a multitude of diseases. It affects adrenal gland and cardiac functions. It plays a key role in the treatment of diseases related to the reproductive organs. It has an effect on the uterus and ovaries in females and testes, prostate gland and penile tissue in males.

According to Ayurveda Vanga Bhasma is bestowed with healing properties such as analgesic, antioxidant, antibacterial, antimicrobial, aphrodisiac, androgenic, anti-lithiatic, muscle relaxant, ovulation stimulant, etc.


Usage of Vanga Bhasma

Vanga Bhasma is used for treating an array of diseases such as menopause, frequent urination, leucorrhoea, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), anovulation, excessive bleeding from the uterus, bad smell in the mouth, amenorrhoea, urinary tract infections, etc.


Ayurvedic Properties of Vanga Bhasma

Vanga Bhasma is made from pure tin metal by the process of calcination including Mardana, Shodhana, and Marna. The process uses microfine tin metal and processed for medicinal purpose. It affects organs like genitals, uterus, ovaries, urinary bladder, adrenal gland, kidney. It pacifies Kapha Dosha and has a profound effect on Dhatu (tissue). It affects Rakta (Blood), Mamsa (Flesh), Rasa (Fluid), Asthi (Bone) And Shukra (Muscle).

  • Guna (Action related to Pharmacology): Laghu (Light), Ushna (Hot), Ruksha (Dry), Sara (Mobile), Chala (Mobility)

Side Effects of Vanga Bhasma

  • There are no side effects if taken under medical supervision.

  • You must not attempt self-medication with the drug as it can be fatal.

  • Overdose of the medication result in gastritis.

  • The medication must be taken for a specified period, specific dose as specified by a doctor.
